For every dental hygiene professional who wants to master their clinical skills...

Precision, Power, Prevention: The Ultimate Hands-On Experience

Even if you get overwhelmed thinking about hand scaling, ultrasonics, or the idea of using an intraoral scanner...

Over the past 15 years, the technology behind air polishing along with manual and ultrasonic instrumentation has exploded and unfortunately, clinicians have not caught up. Clinicians use what they have and what they have been trained on, which may not be the standard of care.
As dental hygienists, we are at high risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs)—impacting both career longevity and satisfaction—developing a foundation in evidence-based ergonomic & technological principles are imperative. [Source: Dimensions of Dental Hygiene]

You may be asking yourself:

How do we provide exceptional oral care while protecting ourselves ergonomically?

“Not all fluoride varnish products are created equal; different additives have been developed in an attempt to increase their effectiveness” [Source: Laura Picano, DDS] With all the variety, how can we get informed and choose the right products?

Scanning is the way of the future and yet many seasoned hygienists don't know anything about it. How can we resolve these issues in our profession?

By approaching them equipped with expert guidance and hands-on training.

Precision, Power, Prevention: The Ultimate Hands-On Experience

...isn’t your everyday hands-on course.

It is a deep dive into ergonomics, visual acuity, air polishing, scanning, manual and ultrasonic instrumentation, placement of sealants, glass ionomers, & silver diamine fluoride, and beyond….

Expect to get your hands dirty!

This is your chance to refresh your knowledge and hone your skills with experts in a format where you will be able to experiment with trial and error, learn from your mistakes, and understand the potential gaps between theory and practice.

Review fundamental clinical skills for manual instrumentation

When I first began sharing my expertise to help others elevate their clinical practice I heard the same complaints again and again...

  • They needed help with their basic manual and ultrasonic instrumentation
  • They wanted to learn and practice new technologies before implementing them
  • They needed help with their ergonomics and guidance on techniques to protect against chronic pain from repetitive movement
  • They didn’t feel comfortable asking for help to find training and learn new technologies in the office

It isn’t a surprise that many dental hygienists never find the guidance and training they are searching for to master new technologies like intraoral scanning and the placement of silver diamine fluoride or they abandon fundamental principles and end up leaving the profession with musculoskeletal disorders.

There is a gap between our training in school as hygienists and ongoing practical training in instrumentation, ergonomics, and the latest innovations in the field.

Many clinicians practice using outdated principles.

It's why I created this workshop to help you overcome any current limitations.

I want you to say goodbye to…

Self-doubt preventing you from utilizing new technologies in your clinical practice

Confusion surrounding how to effectively implement current ergonomic principles or use a variety of hand instruments & ultrasonic tips

Uncertainty about which varnishes to use

Mistaking how to incorporate silver diamine fluoride into the dental hygiene armamentarium

Errors in using intraoral scanning to enhance patient treatment options

Chronic Pain from underutilizing the right technology that can enhance your clinical care.
